How it works

  Access only after a check – logged

  The door stays shut until someone has shown their ID. No code to pass on – and after theft or vandalism you know who opened the door.

  Look for the chip symbol: passports and ID cards with this symbol carry the chip we read – for 112 issuing states, including all 27 EU states.

  1. Show your ID onceAt the door on the first visit: passport, ID card or ID Austria, plus a face match with liveness detection. A photo or a screen does not get through.
  2. Your ID becomes the keyThe same signature check as a border scanner, now at your shop door (112 states, all EU states) – or ID Austria. After that, regulars only need their face. Every time the door opens, you know who it was.
  3. Log: who, whenEvery door opening is recorded with the person and the time. What is stored and for how long, we agree with you.
  4. When something happensIf goods are missing or something is damaged, you see who opened the door at that time.

  If you wish: 18+ only

  Only adults open the door – one switch, for your shop.

  1. Switch on 18+If you wish, the door opens for adults only. You switch it on or off.
  2. Under 18 stays outThe date of birth comes from the chip, and the face must match the ID. A parent's ID does not open the door.
  3. Adults open the doorAnd you see who it was. To be honest: whoever opens can bring someone along – we check who opens the door, not who walks in behind them.

  Beer and wine: legally permissible with Click & Collect

  Alcohol is not on the open shelf. Your customers buy online and collect at the machine in your shop – only once the age is checked.

  1. Buy onlinePayment is online, by card. The sale happens online, not at the machine (§ 52 (2) GewO).
  2. Send to the machineOne click sends the order to your machine.
  3. Confirm ageAnyone may buy. Only someone aged 18+ may collect: with their own passport, ID card or ID Austria, matched to their face.
  4. CollectThe compartment opens. Paid, checked, handed over.

What you get

• Check at the door: NFC reader and camera, the same check as our age verification at the machine.
• Log: who, when – visible to you. Scope and retention we agree with you.
• Click & Collect: Online shop and hand-out at the machine in your shop, connected via MDB.
• The door: Electric door opener, smart lock or turnstile – we sort out the connection with you and a partner.

Is it running already?

The check runs every day at our machines in Vienna, for real. At the shop door you are among the first – we install it with you and a lock partner.

May I sell alcohol?

Selling from the machine is banned under § 52 (2) GewO. With Click & Collect your customer buys online; the machine in your shop hands out only after the age check. Hence: legally permissible with Click & Collect. Legal basis (German)

What does it cost?

There are no software or licence fees; you only pay for the hardware – and we discuss that openly with you.
